Continental Airlines, the world's fifth largest airline, is planning to launch non-stop flights between London/Heathrow and its New York and Houston hubs on March 30, 2008 (westbound), subject to government approval and slot approval. From Heathrow, Continental will offer twice-daily non-stop services to both Newark Liberty International Airport and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Delta will be introducing the new fully horizontal personal sleeper suites which will be fitted in BusinessElite on the new Boeing 777 LR aircraft and introduced to the rest of Delta's 777 range from Autumn 2008, as will a lie-flat option in the 767 aircraft. Delta Air Lines will operate daily non-stop flights from London Heathrow to Atlanta and New York JFK starting on Sunday 30 March 2008. Delta's Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson will launch the 2008 Delta Wine Programme in February initially for BusinessElite customers but expanding to international economy class later in the year.
