Background
Cyprus Airways, the national carrier of Cyprus, was established in 1947. The airline currently serves 29 scheduled destinations in Europe, the Middle and Near East and Gulf area. In 2003 Cyprus Airways carried 1,680,000 passengers. Its charter subsidiary 'Eurocypria Airlines' carried another 500,000 passengers.

The Fleet
The fleet consists of two brand-new Airbus A330-200 wide body aircraft with 295 seats (30 Apollo Business Class, 265 Aphrodite Economy Class), eight modern A320-200 aircraft with 156 seats (25 Apollo Business Class, 131 Aphrodite Economy Class) and two brand-new A319-100 aircraft with 126 seats (14 Apollo Business Class and 112 Aphrodite Economy Class). Eurocypria Airlines operates four brand new B737-800 aircraft.

Route Network
European Network: The total number of scheduled destinations in Europe are 19. These are Athens, London (Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted), Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Moscow, Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Birmingham, Manchester, Milan, Rome, Thessaloniki, Budapest and Heraklion. Middle/Near East and Gulf: Cyprus Airways schedules are designed to offer a wide range of connecting flights between Europe and the Middle, Near East and Gulf. Destinations include Cairo, Tel-Aviv, Beirut, Damascus, Amman, Jeddah, Bahrain, Dubai and Riyadh.

Product Improvement
Central of the success of Cyprus Airways' strategy is the quality of its product. Apollo (Business) Class and Aphrodite (Economy) Class incorporate upgraded inflight service compared to that of the best international airlines.

Loyalty Schemes
SunMiles: The SunMiles Programme is a reward scheme for Cyprus Airways most loyal passengers. When a traveller flies on Cyprus Airways flights he earns points which can be exchanged for flight or service awards. Sunjet Executive Club: The Sunjet Executive Club provides its members with services and facilities of highest quality, including the use of the modern and spacious Apollo Executive Lounges at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.

Associate Company/Partners
Associate Company: In June 2003 Cyprus Airways launched Hellas Jet, an associate company based in Athens. Hellas Jet serves currently four European destinations, London Heathrow, Manchester, Paris and Brussels. Its fleet consists of three Airbus A320-200 aircraft. Partners: Co-operative and marketing agreements with other airlines play a major part in Cyprus Airways' strategy. Such agreements exist with KLM, Alitalia, El-Al, Gulf Air, Syrianair, Aeroflot and LOT.
