ABOUT EMIRATES
Emirates is the world's fastest-growing intercontinental airline, one of the world's five most profitable and among the 20 largest. It is based in Dubai, one of the few cities in the world that pursues an open-skies policy, with more than 110 airlines in free and fair competition. The airline has seen tremendous growth in its 21-year history, and has come a long way from 1985 when it commenced services with two leased aircraft servicing three destinations. Today, Emirates is a world-class carrier operating a fleet of over 100 wide-bodied Airbus and Boeing jets linking over 87 cities in 59 countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, Indian subcontinent and Asia-Pacific. Emirates has won more than 300 international accolades from its customers and industry organisations, including Airline of the Year, an affirmation of its reputation for quality and service.

CHAUFFEUR DRIVE
Emirates Business Class service offers passengers ultimate luxury from the minute they leave their home or office. All Emirates Business and First Class passengers are collected from their place of departure by an Emirates chauffeur drive and taken to the airport – they are also collected on arrival at their destination. Once at the airport, Emirates’ Business passengers can relax in luxurious lounges around the world, with 16 dedicated lounges at airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Dubai, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Sydney, Perth, JFK in New York, Frankfurt and Munich, and Bangkok (due to open in January 2007), where they can work or relax in total comfort while enjoying hot and cold meals and a full bar service.

LONDON HEATHROW AND LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT LOUNGES
In addition to its London Gatwick lounge which opened in 2005, Emirates has recently unveiled a dedicated lounge for its First and Business Class passengers travelling on its five non-stop daily services to Dubai from London Heathrow Airport. The 9,500 square feet lounge can also be used by Gold members of its Skywards frequent flyer programme. The Emirates Lounge is situated at the airport’s Terminal Three in its recently-opened Pier 6 departures area, and boasts panoramic views with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the airport’s southern runway. It also offers a wide array of passenger amenities including an extensive seating area of 190 seats with a large number of comfortable leather armchairs, and a plasma screen showing the latest news and lifestyle programmes from a selection of global channels. The lounge also provides full shower facilities. Passengers can enjoy an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet dishes having the choice of formal or informal seating in the dining area accompanied by a full bar service, including champagne, as well as Emirates' trademark attentive service from their dedicated lounge staff. A business centre is also featured, with 10 computer workstations and 4 laptop workstations, each with complimentary broadband and wireless LAN access, along with a hotline to both the Skywards and Emirates Call Centres. The new lounge is part of a worldwide investment of £19 million by Emirates in providing the best possible lounge facilities for its First and Business Class passengers and frequent flyers.
