Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is fast becoming the hot topic as moral values, the law (Corporate Man Slaughter Bill), and an environmental conscience take a growing importance in the business world in general as a poor ethical record can reflect badly on brand and the share price of corporations.

In travel management, CSR programmes i.e. management and reduction of carbon emissions, traveller health, safety and security and crisis management have been undertaken by companies on an informal basis, but now more and more are formularising programmes as CSR is now viewed as a key strategic issue for the whole of travel industry.

The CSR Showcase within the Business Travel Show is the event where travel buyers can begin to understand, implement and formulise their CSR policies.
