Destination Røros is located in Central Norway, close to the Swedish border. In the middle of Destination Røros you will find the picturesque World Heritage Town of Røros. The  former mining-town is one of Europe’s oldest preserved wooden towns, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Site already in 1980. Surrounding the mountain settlement are two unique national parks and a beautiful nature which offers a fantastic setting for outdoor activities. The region is also one of Norway’s foremost producers of local food. We offer authentic incentives both summer and winter. The Destination offers conference facilities for up to 600 persons. Perfect for incentives and conferences with semi-incentives.

Today we are the Destination with the most comprehensive program on sustainable tourism in Norway. The Destination is awarded as the BEST DESTINATION in Virgin Holiday Responsible Tourism Award in 2011 and the destination is finalist for Tourism for Tomorrow in the category Destination Stewardship. Destination Røros is awarded because of our work on sustainable development which incorporates social, cultural, environmental and economic benefits as well as managing a multi-stakeholder engagement.
