January 25, 2010

David Kennedy, CEO of the Committee on Climate Change, and world leading business forecaster Professor Richard Scase will address the European business travel industry with opening keynotes at the Business Travel & Meetings Show (BTMS) on 9-10 February 2010.

Fresh from his attendance at the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen last month, David Kennedy will present the CCC’s thoughts on how organisations can introduce business travel and meetings policies to cut their carbon footprints without having a negative impact on their productivity or profitability. This thought-provoking and inspirational session will take place on Centre Stage at 10:15 on Wednesday 10 February 2010.

On Tuesday 9 February, world leading business forecaster, strategist and author Professor Richard Scase will deliver his opening keynote address at 10:15. Titled ‘Business Travel Post-Economic Downturn’, Professor Scase will reveal what the business travel industry can expect in the aftermath of the recession, how it should behave and what business models it can introduce to ensure its survival.

“BTMS is delighted that David Kennedy and Professor Scase have agreed to speak at BTMS 2010,” commented event director David Chapple. “The economy and the climate are the two biggest issues currently facing the industry. Everyone - from suppliers to buyers to travellers - is affected by these issues and needs to hear what David Kennedy and Professor Scase have to say.
