Entering the Awards (Entries are closed for 2009)
Definition: An Innovation is the creation, development or improvement and subsequent
implementation of a new product, process, practice or service that is ‘highly valued’
by travel buyers, bookers or arrangers, the business traveller or suppliers of business
travel products and services.
Measurement Criteria
1. The innovation was implemented, in service or use after January 1st 2008.
2. Entrants must quantify and demonstrate ways in which the user’s experience has
been improved by the innovation. Measurement criteria includes:
- Easy of use
- Cost
- Convenience
- Effectiveness
- Usability
- Skill level require
- Pollution
- Speed
- Safety
- Security
- Comfort
- Health
- Pleasure
Hints and tips
1. Remember to include other relevant material to support your entry. This can be
in the form of testimonials, press clippings, photographs, posters, flyers, financial
data or examples.
2. The judges can only make informed decisions if answers are specific and detailed.
Vague answers could count against your entry.
Other Entry Information
- The Innovation can be used by or benefit the business traveller, the buyer or another
supplier.
- The Innovation Awards are open to any supplier to the business travel industry.
- Submission deadline Friday 14th November 2008.
- Entrants can submit the same innovation in more than one category.
