There are four Cellars in the Sky wine tastings during the Business Travel Show hosted by Business Traveller. These events give visitors a chance to try the finest airline wines.
Cellars in the Sky recognises the best business and first class wines served by airlines worldwide in the last year. Blind tastings will take place before an esteemed panel of judges will decide which wines are the winners.
Airlines can participate providing they served wine in business or first class on mid- or long-haul routes. Each can enter two reds, two whites, a sparkling and a fortified or dessert wine from both their business and first class cellars. They can compete in as many categories as they like, but to be eligible for the Best Cellar awards had to enter at least one red, white and sparkling wine.
Every bottle is blind-tasted by a panel of independent judges. Wines are scored out of 100.
To calculate the Best First and Business Class Cellar awards, the average mark of an airline’s red, white and sparkling wines are taken. For the Best Overall Cellar, all scores are taken into account.
